SINGHA BEER presents artist Jeff Sotto - Saturday November 20th @ Covet Lounge, NYC
As the cocktail party season heats up before the drolls of January, this was a fun shindig for those of us who cannot afford to hit Miami Basel this year. Nightlife Veteran Yuval brought a great mix of uptown and downtown to the glamorous Covet Lounge. The occasion was an event for Los Angeles based artist, Jeff Soto who was commissioned by Singha Beer of Thailand for their TransPortraits series.
For any upcoming artist, a paid gig and a chance to fly to NYC for free to paint and party is an unbeatable combination. You can see the the giant canvas he did (photo number 4 from the event series) which will now be flown to Thailand to the mother ship (aka the corporate offices). Jeff who is of Mexican and Spanish ancestry is a well known graffiti artist on both coasts who happens to be a laid back dude. He barely managed to register all the pretty girls coming to the party to see his art.
The event which lasted for several hours had killer music spun by our Vice President's nephew, Jaime Biden and tons of hipsters. With hot designer Wenlan Chia dancing till the wee hours and Supermodel Jessica White dressed in a mini and a fur jacket. Who knew midtown could be so much fun?
