About Me

I was born in a very pretty city called Odessa, which sits on the Black Sea across Istanbul in what was once the U.S.S.R. Odessa is spiritually the sister city of Naples, Italy, which means that we eat too much and love too much...and etc., etc. I moved with my family to Brooklyn, NY at the age of twelve. Our father promised us streets filled with gold. These were the late 70's. The only gold I remember was the chains hanging down the chests of all those cute Italian boys driving around in their Caddies. Spending my teenage years in Brooklyn was the equivalent of earning a Masters Degree in Sociology.

Eventually I followed the yellow brick road (the Brooklyn Bridge) to the island of Manhattan where I partied like a rock star with everyone you ever read about for almost 20 years. In between partying I had many interesting jobs and professions. I lived in Miami, Moscow, Paris and Florence. In some of these places I was married, in some of them I was engaged in business and in all of them I hoped to make my place under the sun. The great thing about seeing the world is that almost instant understanding you get when you see and hear everything that New York throws at you on a daily basis.

Here's hoping Metro-Scene will become a part of your life.
